Directions

The Lake McDonald Lodge is located in northwestern Montana in Glacier National Park.

Plane

If you are coming by plane, you will fly into Glacier International Airport, in Kalispell Montana. Airlines that service this airport are Horizon, Northwest, Skywest, and Delta.

The airport is located 15 miles southwest of Whitefish, and about 35 miles from the Lodge.

Train

A great way to travel is Amtrak's Empire Builder. The train arrives in Whitefish from the west (Seattle, Portland) at 7 AM daily. It arrives at 9 PM daily coming from the east (Fargo, Minneapolis).

Driving

If you are driving here, Whitefish is 2 hours north of Missoula, Montana on US. Highway 93 North.

Lake Mcdonald Lodge is located 11 miles north of the West Glacier entrance on US Highway 2.
