Wedding
When Jon and Jennifer started talking about getting married, the big question was where to have such an event. With the beauty of Glacier National Park so close, it seemed only fitting to have it in the Lake McDonald Lodge. With Jennifer’s work in the park, it was fun to plan and work with people she knew.
Lake McDonald Lodge has been used for many weddings, but never in this context. It was a bit challenging to get approval for such an event, and a wonderful joy to hear it would be possible. When Jon and Jennifer came up to look at the Lodge, he had not yet proposed. After reviewing the Lodge, they walked down towards the water where he gave her the ring. That is where it all began!
The Wedding Day, May 29, 2003, was an exceptional day. A rare 85 degree day at the end of May is unheard of in the mountains of Montana! The wedding was perfect, everything a bride and groom could ever hope for.
